Description:

Part of my 2024 sketchbook highlights series: I used fineline black ink pens. This piece was drawn while I took a break from the sun on the limestone steps of the Lion's Club entry point to the San Marcos River.

There's a serious pull here below a fairly calm surface. Kind of a continental shelf situation, but with mud, where the water rushes down to fill the extra space in the dip. I know this because I tried to walk it. Not. Easy. Funny how something supposedly relaxing like going to the river can be so much effort if you make it so with invented water games.
