Another one that I made over the summer when the heat was just unbearable- the weary lady is based on a magazine ad I saw for a migraine medication. The green tones are meant to be soothing for her, but it ends up swampy and unsettling. Like when you try to take a warm shower in July and come out sweating again. There's a bit of Wizard of Oz crystal ball element here as well, like we're looking at Dorothy in the poppies. This one wants to be peaceful, but there's too much angst!
Part of my "Plant Lady" watercolor marker series where I took the basic elements of an anchoring circle, plant matter, and a female figure to make associations with a hidden personal meaning.
